An era of its own. A time when American was in a transition from separatism to civil rights. The 70's was a Golden Age on so many levels and the influence echoes around the world in present day. Blaxploitation is considered in my opinion to be the coolest of cool. Touching on the most sensitive material in America at its time and exploiting them on the big screen or the vinyls in your record player produced for a glorified genre that nobody will ever be able to duplicate. Our mission at Blax-Pride is to educate those who are unfamiliar with this era and combine knowledge with those who are familiar.
Also you will notice Kung Fu movies on this site as well. What does this have to do with Blaxploitation? Well, the more action packed Blaxploitation films did not just street fight. Oh no.....they thought they were Kung Fu Masters. Chinese martial art movies gave a sense of invincibility to these actors. Seeing how cool it was to be a masterful fighter, why not just integrate this with Pimpin', Hustlin', Jive Talkin' and Pam Grier? Blax-Pride!!!

Shogun Assassin flicks are not just your average samurai flicks, these movies are violent, gory, dark, sick and bloodier then 90% of the horror films out there.
The third in this series is just as good as the previous ones and I actually think I like it more then the second Lightning Swords of death. I think it reminds me more first one with the high action and high energy. In this one Lone Wolf is hired to kill a highly skilled female assassin, and like always roams around the Japanese country side with his son brutally killing anyone who stands in his way.
I also get my comic relief from watching the Shogun Assassin films, I can't help but laugh when I see five limbs go flying across the screen, heads rolling and ninja's that can jump 20 feet high.
These movies are also known for inspiring the Kill Bill movies from Quintin Tarintino so if your a fan you should check these out. They have lots of gore and are very violent. There are decapitations, dismemberment, torture, stabbings, slashings, and rivers of blood.
