An era of its own. A time when American was in a transition from separatism to civil rights. The 70's was a Golden Age on so many levels and the influence echoes around the world in present day. Blaxploitation is considered in my opinion to be the coolest of cool. Touching on the most sensitive material in America at its time and exploiting them on the big screen or the vinyls in your record player produced for a glorified genre that nobody will ever be able to duplicate. Our mission at Blax-Pride is to educate those who are unfamiliar with this era and combine knowledge with those who are familiar.
Also you will notice Kung Fu movies on this site as well. What does this have to do with Blaxploitation? Well, the more action packed Blaxploitation films did not just street fight. Oh no.....they thought they were Kung Fu Masters. Chinese martial art movies gave a sense of invincibility to these actors. Seeing how cool it was to be a masterful fighter, why not just integrate this with Pimpin', Hustlin', Jive Talkin' and Pam Grier? Blax-Pride!!!
I hope that every one is doing well and living life the best they can. There are a few thing I would like to announce.
1. Simon and I has done a little bit of maintenance to Blax-Jive. We can now begin the process of re-upping some of the dead links.
2. Some of the contributors of the blog feel unappreciated from the lack of comments received. I strongly recommend that people give thanks because we do not want to lose valuable resources for the blog.
3. Participate in the blog more!! Help us search for rare soundtracks. Give us valuable information that will help us expand our knowledge. If you have something that you feel is relevant to Blax-Pride or Jive then email either Funk or I or just post it in the community forum.
4. I do want to keep links alive as long as possible, so there are a few websites I suggest people use to upload to:
- rapidshare.com (strongly recommended)
- megaupload.com (strongly recommended)
- mediafire.com (strongly recommended)
5. Finally, I am considering adding the movies to this blog as well. It really depends on blog viewers contributing and me coming up with a formula in posting the movies. I will address this more later.
Thanks everybody for making Blaxploitation Pride a site of its own. There is still much more we can do, so lets begin to work towards the ultimate blog!

I've got everything that's in the Blaxploition Project over at CG on my HD ready to up. But I think I'll need some instructions on how to up movies to blogs first. I'm used to torrentsites me.
