An era of its own. A time when American was in a transition from separatism to civil rights. The 70's was a Golden Age on so many levels and the influence echoes around the world in present day. Blaxploitation is considered in my opinion to be the coolest of cool. Touching on the most sensitive material in America at its time and exploiting them on the big screen or the vinyls in your record player produced for a glorified genre that nobody will ever be able to duplicate. Our mission at Blax-Pride is to educate those who are unfamiliar with this era and combine knowledge with those who are familiar.
Also you will notice Kung Fu movies on this site as well. What does this have to do with Blaxploitation? Well, the more action packed Blaxploitation films did not just street fight. Oh no.....they thought they were Kung Fu Masters. Chinese martial art movies gave a sense of invincibility to these actors. Seeing how cool it was to be a masterful fighter, why not just integrate this with Pimpin', Hustlin', Jive Talkin' and Pam Grier? Blax-Pride!!!

Diana Ross filmed two movies in the early 1970s, Lady Sings The Blues and this, the later Berry Gordy-funded Mahogany. While much of the album is standard Diana Ross / Motown fodder, there are two interesting funk cuts on the second side of the album that merit a listen.

As Lady Sings The Blues found it's way here I found it fitting to upgrade this little gem of a soundtrack a little. And maybe Santa's got a movie review in his bag if You've been nice. hey man im a lil confused and was wondering if you could possibley clear something up for me ? it says in your comment that the green link has a double adress but when i click on it and it takes me to where the file is hosted it only gives me the rar titled part1, which leads me to asume there is a part2 to this rar ect ? if this is correct, would there be any chance you could post the link to the second rar here also, would love to grab this album if i could ;)many thanks if you can help man, great work you guys are doing here ,bless
